Celebrating over 5Years Web Site Presence and 16
years of Internet presence Voted by you as one of the TopVWsites:
Last Update: October 1, 2002

reader can access it. |
Explanation of new Format
- Archives are the files I maintain.
- Links are relevant external resources.
I don't maintain them, but occasionally I will provide a local copy. Listing a
site is not meant to imply endorsement, but is purely provided as
informational. The Links are subdivided into:
- Tech Info: For websites with relevant useful information (though
they may contain other or sell stuff).
- Products: Links to the related OEM manufacturer. Some will sell
directly.
- Service/Mailorder: Sites who sell related items directly. See
also the general Mailorder/Tuner sites.
As you may have noticed, I am still working on this renovation but I
think it'll be VASTLY better than the old one.

- Paintless Dent Removal. Using special angled tools, these
services "massage"small dents out in a couple of
minutes w/o requiring a paint job. What I don't like
is their secretive nature (you can often not watch), and high
price for the amount it takes. It's best to catch these guys when
they are already working on a car. Their argument is typically "It
costs less than repainting".

This is a way cool procedure. Hint: Don't fill the bottle with

the place. To bleed the rears, you need to depress the
proportioning valve.

I take no responsibility to data contained within any of

trademark infringements, plagiarism, and the occasional offenisive, to some,
pictures. Note, that this was one of the reasons why T.Skil's VW page at the
Univ of Manitoba got into some trouble and was subsequently closed down (which
personally I think was unncessary).

This is the end of the archives that I currently (more or less) maintain
and have in my possession. The remainder of this web page provides access to
other sites that have copies of some of these files, have their own unique
archives, and that provide information that may be remotely useful withing the
general scope of VWs and Audis.
VAG SITES: Personal, Clubs, Archive Mirrors
These are links to

I take no responsibility to data contained within any of the links. Some of

contain modified versions of the same set of files. Many contain good
samples of mods and fixes.

pricing site, but also contains info on general reliability.
Trademark and Copyright Violations
VWoA does not take too kindly to
unauthorized use of their trademark, copyrighted items or domain names that seem
to mimic an official VW position. You may want to think twice before you use any
of their logos
or names on your web site. They are in their right, unfortunately. However
it could have been handled better w/o being a major demotivator for many
enthousiasts.

Official VAG Pages
These are links to official VW - SEAT -
Skoda - Audi Web sites. Product info, pricing, models, surveys, etc. Oh, and not
all is in English.
Official Other Manufacturers Pages
It's always good to compare!
For example, the Opel Calibra is one of European contenders, the Volvo 850 is
often considered with a Passat.

"The only thing holding you to the road is a small patch of

Probably the most crucial part of a car are the tires. Don't skimp on tires,
DONT EVER BUY S-RATED (or worse) TIRES, dont ever underinflate.

THE FULL WATTS CLUB
If you are into car racing, these are a couple of
fun spots to browse around.
NOTE TO INTERNET EXPLORER 4.x USERS
If you try to access some of the files I maintain and get the following
error number:
- 800c0011
- and/or with a message that claims that the file is NOT
available or NOT accessible
then try to use "Save
Link As..."
Apparently, there is a bug in IE 4.x that renders some of my
files unreadable. I have my own speculation as to why, but I contacted
MicroSoft, and the problem does not occur with IE 5.x (to be
released shortly). Note that this problem does not occur with Netscape or other
browsers that I am aware of ;->
Any questions or suggestions regarding this page should go to Jan
Due to the volume of mail, I may not
be able to answer immediately. Check the Watercooled FAQs, other FAQs, and the
